Check the kind of discomfort

General tenderness on both sides of the body is different from sharp, localized, or worsening pain. If your movement pattern changes to avoid discomfort, do not push through it.

Choose active recovery

An easy walk, gentle mobility, or a low-intensity Pilates session focused elsewhere may help you feel less stiff. Keep the goal restorative rather than competitive.

Recovery is part of training

Progress happens when work and recovery support each other. Sleep, hydration, food, and rest are not time away from your routine; they are part of the routine.
